Robert V. Steiber, 72 of Salem, NH passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023 at his home.  He was born in Boston, MA, the son of the late Victor and Mary (Beninati) Steiber.

Robert grew up in Somerville, MA.  He had lived in Salem for the past 37 years.  He worked for 37 years as a foreman in the HVAC department for Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and was also an HVAC teacher at the Peterson School in Woburn, MA for 26 years.  He loved camping with his family and was a member of the boat club and loved to be on his boat spending time on the water.  Robert also enjoyed fixing up and working on his Red 1967 Chevy C10 Pickup truck.  He was known for his great sense of humor and had the best witty comebacks.

He is survived by his wife; Pamela M. (Wilkins) Steiber of Salem, by his son; Craig R. Steiber and his wife Cindy of Haverhill, MA, by his two daughters; Kristin L. Clark of Manchester, NH and Kerri A. Hardy and her husband Chris of Pelham, NH.  He is also survived by his seven grandchildren; Amanda, Samantha, Brianna, Cameron, Allison, Kyle and Kevin, by two great grandchildren; Benjamin and Jayden and by his two sisters; Joanne Carroll and her husband Fred of Chelmsford, MA and Mary Cole and her husband Charles of Lynnfield, MA.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023 from 11:00am to 1:00pm in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.  A funeral will follow Friday at 1:00pm in the funeral home.
