Robert "Bob" V. Corbin, Jr., 81, a longtime resident of Salem, NH passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021 in the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH.  He was born in Malden, MA, a son of the late Robert V. and Blanche L. (Pierce) Corbin, Sr.

Bob was a loving family man; he loved all his children fully and equally.  He wore his cowboy hat and cowboy boots all the time and because of that he was known as Grandpa Cowboy to his great –grandchildren and Grampy or Poppy to his grandchildren. He was so proud of all of his grand and great-grandchildren.  Bob loved the mountains and the beach, watching westerns and listening to country music.  His dedication to his family was most important to him and he will be lovingly remembered for it.

He is survived by six children; Cheryl Gaudreau of Methuen, MA, Linda Corbin-Cournoyer of Derry, NH, Pamela J. Wilton of Derry, Robert V. Corbin, III of Warwick RI, Daniel Corbin of Salem, NH and Michael Corbin of Warwick.  He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and by his sister; Barbara Gerry of Lynchburg, VA.  He was predeceased by his wife; Carolyn C. (Delaney) Corbin in 2012, by his granddaughter; Amanda Starr Wilton, by his grandson; John Patrick Corbin and by his brother; Harold Corbin.

Following cremation, visiting hours will be held Friday, October 22, 2021 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH.  Family remembrances and sharing will begin Friday at 7:00pm in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Make-A-Wish America, 1702 East Highland Avenue, Suite 400, Phoenix, AZ 85016.
