Ronald Fennell, 83, of Salem, NH, passed away peacefully on April 26th, leaving behind a life marked by hard work, service, and love for his family.

Born and raised in Newton, MA, Ronald was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Newton. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army, an experience that remained a source of pride throughout his life.

Ronald was well known in his community as the owner and operator of Chevron of New Hampshire and as an active member of the New Hampshire Towing Association. Through his work, he built lasting relationships and earned the respect of colleagues and customers alike.

Outside of work, Ronald had a passion for auto racing and a deep love for animals. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and valued time spent with family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Daniel Fennell and wife Carmen of New Hill, NC, step-son Michael Doyle of Palm Coast, FL, and step-daughter Debra Simone and her husband Joseph of Apex, NC; his brother, Leo Fennell and wife Jackie; his sister, Mary McIntosh and husband John of Norfolk, MA; his cherished grandchildren, Tiffany, Lindsay, Joey, Adrian, Ariella and Kirsten and several nieces and nephews.

Ronald was predeceased by his beloved wife, Sandra Fennell, his step-son, Gary Doyle and his brother, Barry Fennell.

Ronald will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his dedication to his family, his generosity and the pride he took in both his service and his business. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1st, from 10:30-11:30 AM, at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH. A Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00PM at St. Joseph's Parish, 40 Main St, Salem, NH.  Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.
