Ruth L. Kimball, 87 of Hampton, NH passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018 in the Edgewood Center, Portsmouth, NH with her loving family by her side. She was born in North Andover, MA, a daughter of the late Harold A. and Alice (Graichen) Ingram.

" Ode to Ruth"

She laid down her needles

And put them aside

Her fingers not nimble

They would not abide.

Her walking was painful

No more gardens to keep

No sea sand or ocean

To wiggle her feel

A beautiful body, soul and mind –

Preparing for Heaven when it was time

Friday night she raised her arms

Up toward the sky

And praised the beautiful sunshine

She saw through her eyes

God's Angels took her silently during the night

To begin a new journey much sweeter than life

In her pocket three pennies

That say I love you

And if you ever find one

Her spirit is there too.

She is survived by her daughter; Beverly R. Ward and her husband Richard J. of Hampton, her grandson; Eric J. Ward and Joanne Carrier of Salem, NH, a brother; Russell Ingram of Salem, a sister; Charlotte Arena of Portsmouth, NH, by her great-granddog; Teddy and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; Richard C. Kimball in 1985.

At Ruth's request private family services were held. Interment was in Pine Grove Cemetery, 329 Main St., Salem. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the charity of one's choice.
