Salvatore Marino, 82, of Salem, NH passed away on April 3, 2024 at High Pointe House, surrounded by his family.
Salvatore grew up in the North End of Boston, later moving to Arlington and he graduated from Arlington High School.
He served his country in the US Army. Salvatore worked in purchasing and sales for various companies before starting his industrial catering business, Sub-Marinos. He attended the Leland Powers School of Communication and was a radio DJ for WLLH. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Tewksbury, MA, the Sons of Italy in Wilmington, MA, the Fishermen's Club in Boston, MA and the Pelham Rod & Gun Club in Pelham, NH. Sal was a Ham Radio Operator and he enjoyed building and flying large model airplanes. Sal had a passion for flying and enjoyed taking his family flying and teaching them to fly. He was an excellent private pilot and owned several planes. Sal was devoted to his family and they were his world.
Salvatore will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 60 years, Claudia Marino of Salem, NH; his children, Deneen Cipriani of Lebanon, ME, Kara Bryer and husband David of Manchester, NH, Scott Marino and wife Kellie of Salem, NH and Paul Marino and wife Jessica of Methuen, MA; his brother, Anthony Marino of Burlington, MA; his 12 grandchildren, Matthew, Brittani and Megan Foley, Taylor Reed, Victoria Cipriani, Kelsie Sicard, Alyssa Marino, Chloe and Cody Sicard, Kenzie Marino, Frank and Autumn Marino; his 3 great grandchildren, Jaxon Foley, Calhan Foley and Malia Reed and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 10th from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St. Salem, NH. The funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, April 11th at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 40 Main St. Salem, NH. Please arrive by 10:15AM. Inturnment will follow in the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
