Sharon E. Melanson's Obituary
Sharon E. Melanson, 69, of Barrington, NH passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Boston, MA, a daughter of the late Isaac and Elizabeth (Reed) Chancey.
Sharon worked for over 30 years as a senior analyst at the Boston Stock Exchange. In her personal life, she was an avid gardener believing that flowers brightened any space. Sharon was a holistic and homeopathic advocate, doing whatever she could to get "back to the basics". She liked to shop, and was known to proudly say, "I got it for a buck." Sharon loved animals, especially dogs, and enjoyed sewing, listening to books on tape, cooking, and antiquing. She had a quick wit about her and was eager to learn, frequently taking on new challenges wherever she could find them. Sharon was also a social butterfly, and was regularly found having warm conversations with those around her. She was always good to others, liberally offering them her life experiences and bold opinions. Sometimes, she was referred as "The Bear" and was known in her family as "Auntie Shasha."
She is survived by her two daughters; Courtney Karadeniz and her husband Murat of Putnam, CT and Amanda Lantigua and her husband Hector of Barrington, NH, by her five grandchildren; Romina Jimenez, Emre Karadeniz, Hale Karadeniz, Laila Karadeniz and Aydin Karadeniz; and by her great grandson; Wilder Isaac Kelly. She is also survived by her siblings; Janice Murray of Florida, Joanne Walton of Florida, Gary Chancey and his wife Maureen of Framingham, MA and Cheryl Brener of Revere, MA and by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; Joseph Melanson and by her son; Christopher Melanson.

A celebration of Sharon's life will be held Saturday, June 18th at "The Butterfly Place" located at 120 Tyngsboro Rd, Westford, MA 01886 between 11:00 am - 01:00 pm. RSVP required. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
