Sharon
Walker
d. Apr 17, 2025
Kensington
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon May (Houghton)
Walker, 73, of Kensington. Wife of William Walker and mother of Brett Hallinan (wife
Laura) of Epping and Jessica Deschenes (husband Mark) of Brentwood, Sharon was a
cherished member of her large, extended family that includes grandchildren Colin, Ella,
Kyle, and Mia; brother Ronald Houghton (Phyllis) of North Hampton and sister Sandra
Duffy of Epping.
She was pre-deceased by her parents, Milton and Helen (Ashton) Houghton and former husband Scott Pelley.
Sharon graduated from Exeter High School with the Class of 1969 and was employed
with Osram/Sylvania in Exeter for thirty-three years. She began the next chapter of her
life doting on her children and grandchildren and just wanting to be anywhere husband
Bill was. He was her rock and constant companion. Whether fishing, visiting friends and
family, or just plain hanging out, they did it together as only best friends can.
Together they tended a large vegetable and fruit garden and Sharon was known for her homemade raspberry jam. She also delighted friends and family with her signature Heath bar crunch Christmas toffee in boxes neatly tied with ribbon. She also managed to find time for a round of Candy Crush or keeping tabs on everyone on Facebook.
Most would agree that Sharon was blessed with large amounts of common sense and practicality. She could see right through nonsense and bluster and was never shy to put you on the right path. She led a life well-lived, touched many lives, and was loved by all who knew her.
