Shirley (Oliver) Appleyard, of Derry, NH and formerly of Methuen, MA passed away at the age of 86 on January 31st at the Holy Family Hospital after a brief period of failing health.  Pre-deceased by her husband of 50 years, Richard "Dick" Appleyard, the couple raised their family in Methuen and on Big Island Pond in Derry, NH where she resided until her passing.

Shirley is survived by her four children, Brenda and husband Craig Bradt of Wakefield, NH, Donna and husband Alan Gould of Rye, NH, Richard of Wilton Manors, FL and Jeffrey and wife Jane of Kingston, NH. Family was everything to Shirley and she'll be sadly missed by her 6 grandchildren, her 5 great grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews.

There will be no public services.
