Stephen J. Marshall, Jr., 36, of Atkinson, NH died Friday, October 12 ^th at Cedar Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA due to complications from a traumatic brain injury.

He was born and educated in Salem, NH. Stephen John was a caring son, loving father and devoted uncle. For most of his adult life, he prevailed through the challenges of a traumatic brain injury that he received in a car accident. During his ongoing recovery, he enjoyed spending time at the Kremples Center, a non-profit center dedicated to improving the lives of those with brain injuries. As his condition improved, Stephen John helped many people with brain injuries by volunteering to share his story with patients and caregivers. He would want you to be reminded to always wear your seatbelt. After overcoming addiction, Stephen John found faith through the support and community at Rockingham Christian Church. He often volunteered and welcomed any opportunity to help out his church.

Stephen John deeply loved his children. He devotedly cared for his daughter as a single parent. He enjoyed spending time in nature, especially hiking and running with his dog. He often insisted on treating his loved ones to dinner and he had a particular weakness for ice-cream.

He will be sadly missed by his parents, Cynthia (Howard) and Stephen Marshall, Sr. of Atkinson, NH; his children, Jacob and Jadeis Marshall of Salem, NH; his maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Lelia Howard of Lynn, MA; his paternal grandparents, Jacqueline and the late John Marshall of Hobe Sound, FL; his sisters, Sara Currao and Rob of Salem, NH, Abby Beaulieu and husband Paul of Danville, NH and Katy Michael and Brian of Candia, NH and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 27 ^th from 3:00 -5:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 5:00 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
