Susan E. Catania, 85, of Salem, NH passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021 in the Derry Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare, Derry, NH.  She was born in Lawrence, MA, a daughter of the late Francesco and Josephine (Boragine) Catania.

Susan grew up in Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High School.  She spent her adult life raising her family in Methuen, MA and in her later years moved to Salem.  She enjoyed writing poetry, loved angels, the sun and spending time at the beach. When Susan could not hop in her VW Bug for a night of socializing and dancing at the Ashworth, she loved listening to music, collecting seashells on the beach, and joyously tending to her flower beds. We will long remember the beauty and boundless energy that was Susan with her twinkling brown eyes and warm smile. She had many friends as she was known to talk to anyone and everyone.

She is survived by her four children; Dale Tremblay of Raymond, NH, Deborah Tremblay of Salem, NH, Thomas Tremblay and his wife Thayer of Salem  and David Tremblay and his wife Candice of Salem,  by five grandchildren; Jessica Thomson, Jake and Olivia Tremblay and Evan and Drew Tremblay and by two great-granddaughters; Josie and Hayden.  She is also survived by her two sisters; Joan Pierro of Salem and Janice Duncan of Fremont, NH and also by several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her former husband and her children's father; Charles Tremblay and by her brother; Benjamin Catania.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem.  A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 20 ^th at 10:30am in the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, 329 Main St., Salem.
