Ted Byrne, 83 of Salem, NH passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. He was born in Croydon, United Kingdom, a son of the late Edward James and Maud Mary (Williams) Byrne.

Ted had a number of jobs during his career, as a Chef and had cooked for very famous people, to being a truck driver and truck trailer mechanic. He met so many interesting people from all over the world driving trucks. When Ted was 50 years old, he left his life in the UK to marry the love of his life; Chris Watson and immigrated to America. Together they shared a passion for travel and adventure, they had a camper and one trip lasted a month and covered over 11,000 miles. Chris sometimes joined Ted on some of his trucking runs. He enjoyed reading, soccer, the sea and he had a deep love and devotion to his mother.

Ted is survived by his wife of 33 years; Chris Watson-Byrne of Salem, NH. He is also survived by his friends in The United Kingdom, by Chris's family in France and also by her first husband's family and friends who warmly welcomed Ted into their fold.

Due to the current Covid-19 situation and abundance of caution, there will be no formal services currently for Ted. Following cremation his urn will be buried in the future in the Riverside Cemetery in Kezar Falls, ME. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to a charity of one's choice.
