Troy M. Evans, 60, of Salem, NH passed away on Sunday, April 16 th at High Point Hospice House in Haverhill, MA, surrounded by his loving family. He grew up and was educated in Londonderry, NH, the son of the late Barbara (Merrill) and Robert Evans. Troy enlisted in the US Marine Corp. and proudly served his country for 8 years. He was a mechanic for the US Postal Service for 30 years. Troy was a talented mechanic and he could fix just about anything. He was a member of the NRA. Troy was a proud, conservative American who deeply loved his country. He enjoyed reading, riding his Harley and spending time with family.
Troy will be deeply missed by his wife of 25 years, Marina (Amaral) Evans of Salem, NH; his four children, Matthew Evans of Weare, NH, Michael Evans and wife Daniela of Weare, NH, Lauren Bourque and husband Christopher of Derry, NH and Jay Evans of Salem, NH; his three siblings, Linda Misiaszek and husband Richard of FL, Gary Evans and wife Connie of Weare, NH, Gregory Evans and wife Alison of Manchester, NH; his six grandchildren, Samantha, August "Gus", Anabelle, Jaime, Lincoln and Grant and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Kenneth Evans.
Calling hours will be Friday, April 21 st from 4:00 – 7:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH 03079. In lieu of flowers, donations in Troy's name may be sent to: Homeland Heroes, 10 Delaware Dr, Suite 1, Salem, NH 03079 or to Harbor Care, 77 Northeastern Blvd. Nashua, NH 03062.
