Virginia P. Ciccarone, 94, of Salem, NH, died Thursday, March 1st at Greystone Farm in Salem, NH.

Ginny was born in Carthage, NY, the daughter of the late Myrtle and Clifford Pearson. She moved to Danbury in 1941 and graduated from Danbury High School Class of '42, Danbury State Teachers College, and received her Master's Degree at Columbia University. She was a teacher in Danbury for 41 years. Ginny was a life member of both the Connecticut and the National Education Association.

Ginny was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and taught Sunday school for 40 years, both at St. James and ILC, sang in the choir and was in the Women's Service Organization. Ginny had a passion for music and was involved in many choral groups in CT. She was a founding member of the Top Hat Volunteers, as well as devoting her energy to many other organizations. She was an avid traveler and loved exploring new places.

She'll be remembered for her loving kindness and as an active caregiver to many family and friends. Ginny was a people person and she will be dearly missed by those who knew her.

She was predeceased by her husband Alfred, her son Peter, and her brother Robert Pearson.

Ginny is survived by her daughter, Susan Maher and husband Roland of Salem, NH; 4 grandchildren, Jonathan and Adriana Ciccarone, Peter and Amanda Maher, and her daughter-in-law, Monique Ciccarone.

Visitation will be Friday, March 9, 2018 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 18 Clapboard Ridge Rd, Danbury, CT.
