Wendy R. (McWilliam) Denneen, 79, of Windham, NH died Thursday, Nov. 2 ^nd at Colonial Poplin in Fremont, NH.

Wendy grew up and was educated in South Weymouth, MA. She was the daughter of the late Katharine (Turner) and William McWilliam. Wendy received her Bachelor's Degree from Colby College in Waterville, ME and her Master of Education Degree from Boston University. She was known for her generosity and heart of service, sharing countless hours as a volunteer and former Trustee at the Nesmith Library in Windham.

Wendy was a dedicated teacher who influenced the lives of many children over her 20+ years of teaching at the Center School in Windham. She was an avid reader, a skilled bargain hunter, and thoroughly enjoyed her book club. She was an adventurous world traveler with a passion for cruising. Wendy was blessed to have a devoted family and many friends who were like family. She loved the beach, her family, and she was a loving and energetic grandmother to her four grandsons.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, George Denneen.

She will be sadly missed by her son, Matthew Denneen and his wife Tamara of Hampton, NH; her daughter, Susan and her husband Ryan Dusch of Oceanside, CA; her sister, Nancy Cooper of Oro Valley, AZ; her brother and sister in law, William Denneen and his wife Mary of Quincy, MA; her 4 grandsons, Jacob and Matthew Dusch and Garret and Maxwell Denneen; her six nephews and her many friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 7 ^th from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, November 8 ^th at 10 AM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home. Cremation will follow and burial of the urn will be private for the family.
