Billy passed away Tuesday morning May 19, 2020 at Nevins Home in Methuen, MA. Billy was a life long resident of Salem, N.H. Billy was not a religious man, but he was a man of great faith, and his journey will continue on. We are comforted in knowing that he is now with his family and friends that have passed before him.

Billy was a kind hearted and loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed baseball, old John Wayne movies as well as good conversation with friends over a serving of fried claims or a good egg roll or two. Billy had a great sense of humor and loved his one-line jokes. For the past several years Billy resided at the Nevins Home, where he developed special friendships. Billy preferred the simple life, a no-frills kind of guy and has requested the same in death. Per his wishes there will be no service or calling hours. We ask you to say a prayer and remember Billy with warm thoughts and a simple smile especially when you are enjoying a good meal with friends or a winning baseball game with the Red Sox. Billy knew the value of a good deed and an act of kindness. He believed that strangers could become friends and family by paying it forward. Always remember that your act of kindness are valued by the recipient more than you realize. Although Billy benefited from other kindness, he was a great giver of kindness as often as he could, but more importantly when it was needed most. This kindness was the beginning of his great friendships. Billy developed deep friendships with his care takers, Lisa and Chris Joslin, John Silvestro (deceased 2018), Eric and Melissa Sanchez, Phyllis McCarthy and her family. Billy's kindness and friendship has been a blessing to each of us.

William is survived by his brother; Henry Woodbury of Salem N.H. His sister; Gertrude (Woodbury) Reid and her husband Gary Reid of Tucson, AZ. His nephew Eric and wife Anne Woodbury of Maine, Steven Woodbury and wife Nancy of Salem, N.H. Robert Reid and wife Lizette of Arizona as well as several grand nieces and nephews and close friends. He was predeceased by his parents Henry and Beatrice Woodbury, his brother Charles Woodbury and sister Shirley Woodbury.
