William "Bill" T. Hannagan, 76, of Salem, NH passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018 in the UMASS University Hospital, Worcester, MA following a lengthy illness.  He was born in Andover, MA, a son of the late Patrick and Marie (Houde) Hannagan.

Mr. Hannagan was a resident of Salem for the last 30 years, formerly living in South Lawrence, MA.  He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force.  He worked as a manager for Semicon in Methuen, MA, retiring in 2001.  Mr. Hannagan loved his family.  He was proud of his work and was a hard worker.  He also enjoyed  watching sports, especially the Patriots and Red Sox.  He was a member of the American Legion Post #122 in Methuen and the Lawrence Elks Lodge, #65.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years; Mary G. (Robertson) Hannagan of Salem, his son; Michael D. Hannagan and his wife Bonnie of Nashua, NH, his daughter; Kerry A. Brown and her husband Keith of Haverhill, MA, his grandson; Ryan M. Brown of Haverhill, his sister in law; Marilyn Hannagan of Hampton, NH and by several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his brother; James Hannagan.

Following cremation, visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem.  A funeral service will be held at 10:30am Friday in the funeral home.  Interment with military honors will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, 329 Main St., Salem.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Methuen American Legion Post #122, 200 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
