William F. "Whitey" Laycock, 91, of Salem, NH died peacefully Saturday, November 3 ^rd at his home.

William was born and educated in Lawrence, MA, the son of the late Harriet (Driver) and William Laycock. He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII. He worked on personal track safety on the railroad and later became a postal supervisor.

William was a member of VFW Post #8546 and St. Joseph Church in Salem. He enjoyed living in Florida for many years with his wife after retiring. William enjoyed attending Salem High sporting events and he was very active with the Salem High Band and Booster Club.

When he was younger, he taught ballroom dancing for Arthur Murray Dance Studios and he always loved dancing.

William will be sadly missed by his children, Thomas Laycock and companion Marybeth Cleaver of Derry, NH, William Laycock and wife Brenda of Sandown, NH, Carol Lyons and husband Todd of Salem, NH and Joyce Burns and husband Bill of Salem; his sister, Mary and husband William Kiernan of Salem, NH: his 8 grandchildren and his 7 great grandchildren. The family would like to send a special thank you to Rosalie Sharpe for her loving care.

He was predeceased by his wife Beatrice (Tremblay) Laycock and six sisters.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 7 ^th from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. The Funeral Service will be Thursday at 10:30 AM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home.
